Interpretive Film
The poems of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow influenced early American national identity and are still preserved through phrases we use today. Working closely with the National Park Service, we produced an interpretive film about the history of the home and Longfellow's life. Excerpts from his poems are brought to life with playful scenes by award-winning animator Pat Bradley and composer Mark Orton.
An additional short film follows a local family as they explore their connections to the home through their enslaved ancestors.
An educational short film contrasts Longfellow's "To the River Charles" with a poem written by a Boston Youth Poet.
