Exhibit Media

In 1848, James Marshall discovered gold at Sutter's Mill, sparking the California Gold Rush.  In order to show the diversity of the people who came to California seeking their fortune, we worked with the exhibit designers to develop 6 stories based on primary sources.  These journeys are projected onto a historic map of the world along with imagery and narration.  These fascinating stories include that of a Chinese immigrant, a young recruit in the US Army's Mormon Battalion, and a South American entrepreneur.
